CONSTITUTION OF THE HIGHLAND AVENUE BAPTIST CHURCH OF HAMILTON, OHIO, VILLAGE OF NEW MIAMI
Pre-Millennial - Fundamental - Independent
ARTICLE I THE NAME
The name of this church shall be: Highland Avenue Baptist Church
ARTICLE II THE OBJECT
The purpose of this church shall be to spread the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ: I Corinthians 15:3-4. Romans 10:8-13, 17. Ephesians 2:8-10, 13. Teaching to observe all things what Jesus commanded in His Written Word, which is the Authorized Version of 1611 or otherwise known as the "King James Version". Promoting fellowship among God's people of like precious faith. It shall be a "soul winning" church.
ARTICLE III MEMBERSHIP
Section 1: The membership of this church shall be composed of persons having been baptized into the fellowship of the church upon a credible profession of faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour
Section 2: Persons having been baptized into a church of like Faith and Order, who indicate their desire to become a member of this church shall be received in the following manner:
1. That they present a letter designating themselves as members of good standing in a church of like faith. 2. Under the watch care of the church awaiting the coming of their church letter. 3. Persons having been baptized into the fellowship of a regularly organized Baptist Church and who for reasons beyond their control can not get a letter, shall be received as members upon statement of such experience.
ARTICLE IV GOVERNMENT
God's Word, the Authorized Version of 1611 or otherwise known as the "King James Version", is the final authority in all matters. II Timothy 3:16-17.
